St. John's Terminal, a storage facility and former transit terminus on Manhattan's far west side, sat mostly vacant for decades. The multi-block building needed energy, interim revenue, and exposure to potential tenants.

Skylight rebranded St. John’s Terminal as Skylight Clarkson Sq and Skylight Clarkson North and made it shorthand for cool and sophistication by activating it with innovative brands such as Nike, Proenza Schouler, Spotify, Comme des Garcons, Netflix, Justin Timberlake, and making it the home of WME/IMG New York Fashion Week.

To combat the perception of hyper-commercialism and ground “NYFW The Shows” in authenticity, WME/IMG sought a partnership with Skylight to move the official New York Fashion Week shows from the tents at Lincoln Center to unexplored downtown spaces that represented the history and fabric of New York City, making Skylight Clarkson Sq and Skylight Moynihan Station the official homes of NYFW and household names for NYC's cultural class.
